The ITF Technical & Instruction Committee informs you about the following International Instructors Courses to be held in 2004.
This list will be updated once other countries are willing to host such an event.

International Instructor Courses - Details
In order to host such an event the organiser shall quaranty 80 persons.
The host organization may add a maximum of 40.00 USD per participant to cover overhead costs.
The course fee is waived for 7th to 9th Degree Black Belts, but any overhead costs still apply.
Expensives, like salaries for the Instructors, travel and hotel accommodation are covered by the I.T.F.

In the last years the EURO-CUP was simply one of the best tournaments in Europe. This year the EURO TAEKWONDO FEDERATION (E.T.F.) will present the first international championships (worldwide !?) which will be open for both important TKD sparring styles - Olympic style WTF AND continuous light contact sparring style.

The EURO-CUP is open for all competitors, clubs, teams, federations and nations. We will have a national ranking list and EVERY competitor Place 1-2-3 will earn points for his home country, not only those of registered national teams.

127 divisions and all technical TKD and Martial Arts contests (traditional and creative Forms/Patterns, Breaking, Selfdefense, Show demonstration competition) make this event probably one of the greatest in European TKD history.

Re: Forthcoming Edged Weapons Training Course and Close Quarter Combat Course Saturday 12th July and Sunday 13th July.

The above two courses will be taking place at Mill Rythe School, Hayling Island, Hampshire on the above dates. Further information, including timings are enclosed with this letter. The courses are priced at a cost of £45.00 per person per course. However, if you book both courses the total price will be £75.00 a saving of £15.00 on the advertised price.

In addition, as many of us train together on a regular basis, we are intending to arrange a night out on the Saturday after the Edged Weapons course where we can all get together socially over a beer or two. This would provide an excellent opportunity for all of us to get to know each other better and provide an opportunity for many of you to network with each other. If you are intending to attend both courses and need details of b&b’s and or hotels let me know and we will forward them to you.

However, due to John’s and my current workload this will possibly be the only opportunity to attend these specific courses this year. Therefore, if it is likely that either one or both of the events are not likely to be supported then we will cancel them and put them on at a later date, possibly towards the end of the year or early 2004. Therefore, if you are intending to attend either or both events please get back to me as soon as possible with your confirmation so that we know how many people are likely to attend, and as such hopefully make the events a success for those that do wish to attend.

On the other hand places are limited to 20 - 25 per day and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis only so if you do require a place / places the earlier you let us know the more likely you are to get one.

The year 2002 was the first of this international successful tournament, we invited several countries to participate and with great success.
"Windmills invites you" to participate in the year 2003,The organisation team intends to have a maximum of 350 competitors. We make this arrangement to be able to keep our timetable.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Netherlands advise that those participants which need visa for entry The Netherlands should apply for visa at least 1 month before arrival in The Netherlands.

I would like to invite your students and yourself to the first Welsh Open Mat that is to be held at Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre, Ebbw Vale on Sunday September 22nd 2002 - 1 - 4pm.

This will be a great opportunity for martial artists in Wales to get together to train and trade techniques with no politics or restrictions. The Open Mat event is the first in Wales and is a low cost, open, information sharing session that allows members of the martial arts community to get together and swap techniques without the pressures of competition. The only rule is no egos or attitude.

This spirit of mutual development, absent of politics and prima donnas, will allow events such as this to happen. This will play a huge part in allowing a level of national communication and networking that is unheard of in many other areas of the martial arts. This I believe is the future of the martial arts, as more and more instructors today are leaving organisations because they are tired of being told what they can and can not do.

Training will consist of one hour of sparring where students can meet new friends and trade techniques – one hour of tuition of all types of competition fighting – another hour of sparring where you can try out what you have learned. Cost is only £3.
